Municipal elections in the RM of Hart Butte give residents the opportunity to shape local leadership and policy. Every four years, voters elect a Reeve and six Councillors, each representing a division within the RM.

 

Important Election Information

• Next General Election Date: Division 2, 4, and 6           November 9th, 2026 

• By-Election: Division 3 (2 year term)                              November 9th, 2026

• Advance Poll Locations & Voting Hours: Available closer to election time

 

Nominations for the November 9th, 2026 by-election for Division 3 must be received at the office located at

145 Railway Ave E by October 21st, 2026 at 4:00PM.

Nominees must also submit a Public Disclosure Statement.

Who Can Vote?

You are eligible to vote if you:

• Are at least 18 years old

• Are a Canadian citizen

• Have lived in or owned property in the RM of Hart Butte for at least 3 consecutive months before election day
